Overview
Master the Journey Back to Play: A 3-Day Intensive on ACL Rehabilitation
Go beyond the protocols and master the art and science of guiding athletes from surgery to sport. This immersive 3-day course, led by the expert Dr. Korakakis Vasileios, is designed for rehabilitation professionals ready to elevate their practice.
Move from theory to execution with a curriculum that mirrors the athlete’s journey or the physically active individual’s needs. You will master criteria-based progression, learning not just the exercises, but the critical why and when behind every decision. Through intense practical sessions, case studies, and expert lectures, you will gain the tools to address the full spectrum of rehabilitation—from managing post-op complications and rebuilding strength to harnessing advanced technology for return-to-sport testing.
This is your opportunity to transform your approach, ensure safer outcomes, and confidently return your athletes to peak performance.
Description
This course is designed to provide participants with current evidence-based information, appropriate to the assessment, clinical decision making, criteria-based treatment planning and progression, and return to sport or physical activity participation of athletes and/or physically active patients with an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
The course facilitates the acquisition, assimilation, and application of skills and information relevant to any practitioner working with sporting teams, and/or physically active, or other individuals.
Methods of delivery
Face to face lecture presentation and pre-readings
Teaching strategies

Learning outcomes
Participants, upon completion of the 3-day course, will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding and ability to apply an evidence-based comprehensive, valid, and reliable assessment (signs and symptoms, clinical evaluation and findings, diagnostic tests etc.) at the different stages of pre- and post-operative ACLR rehabilitation
- Demonstrate skills and ability to assimilate and apply best practice evidence-based principles to address the major deficits (range of motion, motor control, strength, balance, proprioception, agility etc.) according to the stage of the rehabilitation (early, intermediate, advanced, return to sports) of the ACL reconstructed patient
- Demonstrate ability to assimilate and apply strategies specific to the principles for a progressive criteria-based rehabilitation, and return to physical activity, training and/or return to competition
Target Audience: Physiotherapists, senior physiotherapy students, sports therapists, athletic trainers.
